The Libertarian Party sucks.
It put up the Keynesian (increased eduction spending in NM, supported the govt privileges act of 64, and supported price fixing) Wilsonian (favored waging humanitarian wars) Gary Johnson, then before him they put up the Keynesian Outright Neocon Bob Barr.
Just a few benefits from secession would be another currency (or probably free market money, since a state that would secede probably wouldn't favor legal tender), fewer regulations, decentralization of IP (can use inventions and copy stuff "protected" by the U.S.G, another sovereign in the world (which means that it can't be an effective govt while also reducing the effectiveness of the U.S.G), and off the hook for the U.S.G debt as well.
