haha, oops. So what stocks have you made big$ on this year so far? I just got back into trading this year after taking a year off. Made about a 20% gain on OATS last week.

I'm just bought some stocks recently and am waiting for the gains to come in. NVDA has given me a decent clip so far, but all my others are hovering at or below what I purchased at.

I WAS up 70%, now I'm down to 50%. I pulled everything out a couple weeks ago. haven't seen anything that caught my eye.

edit: this is tech only. don't know enough about bio/classic industry/food/oil etc.. although I wish I did :(

ah, it wasn't actually the "food" oats. It was Wild Oats Supermarket. I was watching the stock price go up consistantly for the past month so I decided to get in. A couple days later there was a news release that a fund manager was buying up the shares which caused a big spike in the stock price. I got in then out quickly. :) Since then, the price has come down.

haha, ok, then in answer to your question, I have a Schwab account. The only reason I'm staying with them is because they lowered their commissions. Otherwise, I'd open a TD Waterhouse or Scottrade account instead (cheaper fees).

Just noticed this was my 100th post! :D

Bought ATI Technologies at $6.15 sold at $19 in 2004. Made over 13k profit in about a year. Also made a few g's on Nortel and Bombardier (short)

I meant what prices did you buy/sell it at (ie "where")? ;)

10.98 would have been a miraculous sell but yours wasn't bad either. It's at 10.22 now and if I were to go out on a limb I think it has the potential to reach new highs soon. We'll see, that's not my specialty. :)
