I've had my pair for a year, and they're fvcking awesome, probably the best computer speakers I've ever heard. How well do these rank with real HT speakers?

I don't think any computer speakers will ever sound as good as high quality HT speakers.

They sound 100x better than my Sony Streetstyle headphones, I want a backup set for my current ones because they ROCK SO HARD I'm afraid they might break.

I was in an exam.

You guys make it sound like I spend 24 hours a day here 😱

For $200, I don't think you're going to do better on a HTIB than the Logitech set. I think you have to move up to the $400 HTIB range before you're talking any sort of upgrade, and even then you should hear it and see if it actually sounds better to you.

These are the kind of speakers where an X-Fi would make sense to get. If you're going from integrated to X-Fi, it's probably going to be a good jump for you.
Get the lowest one though unless you really need something the others offer.

The Xtreme Music was $75AR a while ago. That was a good bet.

I went from the klipsch promedia 5.1 to a dedicated 2.1 system with a tube pre, solid state amp and I really couldnt be happier. The jump in sound quality is something words cannot even convey. My computer system still takes my breath away. I'm running some Polk LSi7s, a Onix ULW-10 sub, with a Audio Experience Symphonies pre (running diff tubes), and an Odyssey Stratos amp. GOLD.

I remember my initial switch from the klipsch to a pio receiver with a dayton (parts express) sub and polk rti38 speaks and man was that a jump. If you have the money and the space I'd go HT and never look back.

EDIT: I slowly transitioned to that current 2.1 setup, took a lot of time to find what I wanted but I think I'm there now...maybe some diff speaks but so far its running quite well.

I got the Platinum, I need the front deck, can't wait!

My ears are happy, the X-Fi kicks ass! The Crystalizer really is just a bunch of hype though, a 128 kbps MP3 still sounds as such, all it does is boost the highs and lows.
