YoYo Ethics Question

While running ECM to get an additional 93K to reach my 1 000 000 credit Master Badge, YoYo sent some Euler WUs in place of the ECM. I did not have the Euler box checked in my subproject options.

I consider this to be as bad as Microsoft's silent updates, but not as bad as Sony's root kits.

I was planning to have this running on a borged machine, but I don't want to have to explain execution errors or malware to my friend .

Am I over-reacting?

PrimeGrid has a "Send work from any subproject if selected projects have no work" checkbox. Does YoYo have that as well?

It does not have that checkbox. However, I had send test applications box set to yes. I am trying it now.

That did the trick! I wasn't aware that I had set that box to Yes.

However, when I was trying to get the ECM WUs earlier, the server status said there were plenty. So I shouldn't have been getting anything else.

iirc some projects give test wu's priority over others, so if you had test enabled that would explain it.
