lol, I remember seeing or reading about this a little while back...sounds like it'd be interesting, but I couldn't do it here, no one would have anything set up. Probably a lot more effective if you live out in some place that's technologically advanced, or a metropolitan area.

BTW, anybody know of the site that lists wireless networks? I've seen the wardriving one, and I think it was another site...it was crazy accurate; I punched in my location, and it had the name of my network on their little map! But now I've lost the site. :(

Maybe Wigle

They go through all that work and all you need is an Icom R3 radio scanner with build in video screen.

Could you even imagine something as STUPID as driving around in a car with a cantenna and laptop fo rthe purpose of mapping wireless networks. FOR FUN??

A GPS will give it to you within 3 feet. Check google, there may be a site with it listed for your town, it won't be precise, but it'll be close.
