I saw Kenny Rogers in Atlantic City once, there was a dude up front that didnt want to be there. Kenny saw him and said he'd give him $20 for every song Kenny sung that he knew... all he had to do was raise his hand. That guy became a fan and earned some money... he raised his hand for every song.

Back in 1979 a friend and i went into a bar to celebrate his 21st birthday. There were about 8 of us in the bar including the 12 string guitar player they had for music.
A bearded guy at the bar kept buying rounds for everyone.
It was Kenny Rogers there to listen to the guitar player.

I have an OCD that whenever I am in a bar and I hear "You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille" it is time to leave. I cannot stand Kenny Rogers and this particular song makes me gag. There is at least 10 times that I have been having a good time in a bar and had to move the party to the next bar because this song was played.

I knew it was a singer, but I thought it was Willie Nelson. My friend said no then the bartender introduced him.
