So I sent a package last week using the automated postage machine. It cost more than $14 to send the package via Priority Mail. So I check the mail today and there is a package in there. It is mine that I sent last week. There is a "Postage Due" sticker on it for 23 cents. YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!

you obviously didn't use the machine correctly. Probably for size, did you not measure it? They have a ruler on the machine so it's pretty easy.

I have used those machines hundreds of times and it has always been super easy.

 How could I have not used the machine correctly. It walks you through the process step by step. I did measure the package. I've used the machine hundreds of times with no problem. In fact, I sent 4 packages that day using the same machine.

You should go talk to the post office that you shipped it at. If you did everything correct, then they have wasted your time/money.

Probably didn't tare the scale or put the wrong zone in or measured the dimensions wrong or ...

Also you could have sent all 4 packages wrong and only one got caught.

Some idiot in our company got us a hefty fine by shipping 10lb+ boxes as 1lb letters. When they caught it they helped us one step further by telling the officials "you never fined me before, I have always shipped these like this for at least a couple years."

Unfortunately no. However; they did get a corporate-wide email sent out on how our carriers entrust us to weigh our packages accurately.

The latest issues with dumbass employees had to do with this weekends 'marketing attempt' that almost got us blacklisted from email routing.

Wow, thats sad. I often mail stuff with 1 grade down preprinted postage and never had it returned.
