To note, it's "TotalBiscuit" not "Total Biscuit". Although, you're not the first to do it, as he's joked about people calling him "TotalSpaceBiscuit" numerous times.

One thing that has had me confused for a while... what exactly does "full-blown cancer" mean? At least based on all the sappy hospital dramas that I've seen, there are three states: benign, malignant, metastasized (malignant + spread). I assume he means that the tumor is malignant and not benign like he originally thought. At least that's what I hope he means as metastasized is never fun. My uncle is going through that right now, but he's looking good so far.

"Full-blown cancer" is not in any way a technical term. I thought OP used that wording, not sure if the guy in question himself did.

It, to me, would mean malignant at least. Likely implies metastases. Though I'd say even at Stage IA I still had "full-blown cancer" i.e., a malignant tumor with the capability of metastasizing.

Really? People critiquing his physical appearance? Talking about him being "ugly"? Idiots. The entire lot of you who did this. CHRIST.

I just lost faith in humanity. Idiots. Let's hope the people doing this, in this thread, don't ever perpetuate their IDIOCY by procreating.

I find it hard to believe how successful he is on youtube. his videos suck imo, he just buys every game and plays it for a half hour and puts audio over it later. He puts so little effort into the games that half of them he doesn't even know how to play or what key to push to pick things up.
It's exactly what you would do if you fired up a game and never read the instructions or researched it at all. Just fire it up and dive right in... which is fine. But I just don't see the point of watching someone else do it.
When I watch a game play video, I prefer an experienced player with a lot of insights to that particular game. Totalbisqet puts almost zero effort into his videos.

Plus he had to turn off his comment sections because he was getting his feelings hurt, lol. I wish he recovers though, and makes a lot more money in his life. But I won't be subscribing.

All of his success relies on his smooth British accent. That's 90% of succeeding as a youtuber right there.

You do realize that he has said on numerous occasions that he is not a reviewer, right? He states all the time (to people who make comments like yours) that he does first impression videos. A first impression video would be just like what you say! Hell, half the reason why I watch his videos is that he'll go through the options menus so we can see what sort of half-assed job the developers did on the PC version.

Plus he had to turn off his comment sections because he was getting his feelings hurt, lol.

I work with cancer patients, primarily on the diagnostic end, but also with radiation treatment protocols. It's one of the most difficult, dehumanizing and challenging issues I've seen patients face. What's up with you guys ?!

The stats are also higher; close to 1 in 3 people expire as a result of cancer-related illness. So plenty of us in this thread will experience it...

No, at least in his WTF is... videos he talks as he plays the game. If you watch the videos it is obvious that when he is talking a lot his game suffers and when he shuts up and plays he does much better. That is because it is hard to concentrate on playing the game and doing the commentary at the same time.

He puts so little effort into the games that half of them he doesn't even know how to play or what key to push to pick things up.
That is what I like about his WFT videos. I get to see the learning curve of the game. I get to see a bit of the difficulty level. That is much different from many other people who don't put a video up until they have mastered the game to the point that it looks like a speed run.

He turned off the comments because you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy then Youtube comments. And it is not just his comments, it is every video every posted.

I have watched quite a few of his reviews. It makes me sad that at some time in the near future there wont be any more, it is a loss to a lot of us that like his reviews and especially when those reviews show us how broken a game is and we watch the cheetos funded reviews on the main sites sing the same games praises. I will miss his work.

Biscuit  he's too awesome not to survive.:thumbsup:

*sigh* this kind of stuff doesn't help. It furthers the implication that those who survive are those who were strong and had the will to do so (implying those who die were weak). Many great people who want nothing more than to survive end up dying of the disease. We celebrate survivors all too much while ignoring the dead and dying.

As a cancer survivor myself, I hate to be called one. The term survivor just reminds me there are millions of non-survivors, and I easily could have been one of them - perhaps I should have? Who knows. I live while others die, hell I live and I have a relatively healthy body and normal life - and for this I feel guilty.

Again, furthering a point that those who get cancer may have been those who were previously ignorant of it, made rude comments, etc - implying they deserved it, brought it on themselves, etc...

By the way, it's more like 50% of men get cancer.

You would think that as we rapidly approach the point where the majority of the population will personally experience cancer at some point in their lives, you would think people would be more open to discussion about what actually causes it. But alas, this is not the case.

A good human being who touched a lot of people is dying from a horrible disease and I wonder how few here because of outright wrong beliefs like you catch cancer because you deserve it or its something you ate, don't ever donate to cancer research. There is good science being done to try and cure and prevent this killer of our fellow humans. But people still like to sit in the cheap seats and throw peanuts. Its the sad state of humanity and some people are just bad human beings.

It's because there is no such thing as a single cause of cancer.

Cancer is not a single thing, there are millions of possible causes of cancer in a human body per cancer. That's the reason why talking about a singular "cure" for cancer is pretty irrelavent, we will never be able to stop every single possible vector for cancer cells to form (Unless we get Elysium Med Bay Magic)

The best we can do is try and limit the causes of very specific/the most common forms of cancer. That's why you should take every new report of "WE CURED CANCER" with a grain of salt. Usually all it means is that the researcher managed to cause a person to go into remission with a very specific set of circumstances and a very specific form of cancer.

Chemo is less of a cure and more of "we hope that this stuff kills the cancer before it kills you"

I hope you guys aren't talking about me since all I did was express surprise at his age.

I quite enjoy his videos for the reason someone already mentioned. He plays the game like he's new to it and he talks about parts of the game most people don't.

Him and Angry Joe are the only two channels I sub to on Youtube. I find Angry Joe's reviews a bit hit and miss but they're in depth at least.

It shouldn't really shock or surprise when someone in their late 20's gets cancer, children are often afflicted with it. Its also the eventual cause of death for most household pets which should be a clue that microwave food has little to do with it. However if you constantly eat nothing but processed microwave type food that could cause increased inflammation which will tax your immune system and foster an environment where cancer may more easily take hold.

Hope the guy makes a full recovery. As for his Youtube vids, as someone said, they're "first impressions" (and very in depth so they often come across as full blown reviews). I don't agree with all of his conclusions (eg, the new Thief), but in general he's done everyone a huge service by jumping on bad ports, lack of options in options menu's, non-rebindable keys, dumbing down trend, etc, in cross-platform games. That instantly puts him higher up than many "professional reviewers" slapping a minimum 8/10 on any AAA game with little further comment beyond "ooh! sparkly bits!"
