Youtube worthless on Ipad

I have no idea what's going on but Youtube is slow ass hell on my Ipad. It's frigging buffering all the time. When I go to my Macbook, the same video plays without a problem. I tried some of the workarounds but none works. It's not a wifi problem because speedtest gives me my full 18Mbit all the time. Tried both the youtube app and playing videos with Safari. I have no problems with the netflix app or anything so I'm almost sure that the problem is with google

Problem with Google or Apple?

I suspect with the google servers. Same video runs flawless from my Macbook. It's like google is doing some kind of capping when it comes from my Ipad.
m.youtube.com is also slow as hell so it doesn't look like some kind of bug in the youtube app. Video starts ok but very fast it's starts buffering so i have to pauze / play all the time. I don't have a problem with netflix so it's not some kind of bandwith issue on my home connection. I have a 20 Mbit internet connection and when i run a speedtest I hit full speed all the time. Did some googling and I'm not the only one. It's really useless...

I hardly have any issues playing youtube videos on my iPad. It really depends on where im connected. From star bucks, it's slower.
