FYI: Firefox doesn't have h.264 support, that is why it won't work with Firefox

You can also right-click and notice a lack of the flash bullshit context menu.

Ok ok, but where can you find a video in HTML5? My old 1080i uploads are still in Flash when I play on Chrome....

A recent 720p upload of mine is there and working. Looks like shit though, compared to flash. Obviously it's a work in progress, but hopefully that's something that'll improve sooner than later.

So I went to download chrome but when you click the link it just installs! how in the world did they do this and why does firefox allow this? This could be used for malicious purposes quite easily. No prompts no nothing, just clicked the link and it launched the installer! That's with noscript installed too! Anyone know how this works? I would have figured firefox would at least give some kind of warning about something like this.
It's called Oneclick, it's a MS technology and it's fairly secure. You clicked the install link, why shouldn't it just install? It's a cool technology.

I'm amused that people worry about CPU usage anymore. Especially for something is inane as Flash Video.

I never even heard of html 5 so I'm curious to check this out.

Yeah you'd think, right? Except Flash is such shit it can use 80% my dual core playing a game. They've had years to shape up and have done nothing or worse (exploits). Naturally people are going to want to move on to improved things.

I never got the "yer computer can handle it just fine even if its bloated shit" excuse.

But it's just a regular link, so a malicious site could easily trick someone into clicking on something that installs a virus or even just use a meta redirect. I would expect this from IE since it's been that way since day 1, but I would have figured firefox would at least warn or something. It warns for everything else, such as installing extensions.

I'm not really worried about Google doing anything bad, but more the fact that it's possible to do this, since any malicious person could now use this method to easily slide a virus or other malicious code on your pc without even asking.

Yeah powerful computers are no excuse for bloated code. I find nowdays everything seems to be bloated. We are not really advancing when you think about it. A faster cpu comes out, but we NEED it just to keep up. So in the end nothing is really faster.

Kinda hard to quantify whether that's poor performance or not. Seems like a fixation to me, why care?

It's hardly fair to blame Flash because some amateur writes shitty code. That's like blaming the C language because GTA IV runs like shit.
