Like the topic said, has anyone else experienced strange problem with your Youtube Account? Ever since Google taking over / merged over I can't make reply posts to user comments in my own videos!!! Clicking "Reply" button and posting won't work... It says you're not authorized to post or awaiting approval or something. I AM the admin, the host of the videos that I posted. But I have power to delete/block/ban users? What's going on here....? I asked my greatest fellow Patrick at coconut-audio about it and he is experiencing the same thing!!! Google screwed things up! I want answers.

thanks!

Yeah, I think you can only make new comments, and not replies to old comments that were made before the switch, or to usernames who haven't "converted" to real names and Google+ accounts, or something like that. Try sending a message to the users inbox instead?

Google bought YouTube in 2006. I am assuming you mean since they require a Google account to comment which I think happened in 2011.

Yeah, I will a little confused as well :) .
I think he means now that Google+ and youtube became more integrated. I have to admit, I don't really understand the comments any more. I also can't find the comments that someone replied to anymore.

Google is really starting to piss me off with all of their attempts to connect everyone and everything in every possible way imaginable. And their endless pursuit to get you to give up all of your personal details, your friends, job, salary, marital status, credit cards (ala Google Wallet) yada yada. I hate Youtube since they took over, I have a Youtube channel (actively seeking alternatives) but I'm constantly being hassled to create a gmail, Google+, Google wallet account and connect them all together. They're getting worse than MS and Apple at cramming their garbage down people's throats. I've since dropped use of Chrome and gone back to Opera Next and using Bing and Duck Duck Go for search engines.

I support the switch to G+ if it will do something about:

YouTube Comments: such a cesspool of illiteracy, misogyny, racism, idiocy, hatred, violence, barbarism, intolerance and general lack of humanity has not been seen since the middle ages.

Why is this in software for windows? This should be moved to OT and locked, since there's a thread about this already.

Amen.....

Very good post. That's exactly what I mean... They keep prompting me to connect to Google+ crap whenever I login to youtube account. I go in the option menu to "temporarily disable Google+" (there is no option to remove permanently from my account) and gives me some pain relief... but you get the stupid Google prompt again after that. Once I connect to Google from youtube I no longer can get to "Inbox" of my youtube account. I don't see it. So it makes it hard for me to retrieve old comments in videos.

Google+ is connected with the government and they want all our personal information so they can have on file and use it on their advantage for whatever they want to do. It's like communism. It will turn into communist country soon, watch. It will become China and Russia.

I spent good 30 MINUTES trying to think and decide WHERE to post this thread. My best guess was under software, and Software for Windows section was the ONLY ONE available. So I picked that. I am in no way posted this to spam you ignorant guy. And what? lock my thread? Did you wake up from the wrong side of the bed? What the hell is your problem? You don't like what you are reading, then ignore this thread. There are plenty of other threads that you can look at and find one that interest you.

I just created a fake Google+ account with all fake info, and have everything integrated into that. It was a lot easier to set up than I thought. Now they can't bug me. If they do I'll just make a new one. :)

Ok, am I the only one with this problem?

I see a comment in youtube that is a reply to someone. But there is nowhere to click to the see the original comment like there used to be. Clicking on the "reply to [name]" link above the reply seems to just reload the exact same page again.
