YouTube Experiencing Issues/ Assistance Needed

As of the last three days, YouTube has been exhibiting problems whereby many have stated the same. Enclosed is a picture upon opening YouTube page. The thumbnails are "greyed out" for about 2 to 3 seconds, then everything is normal. Can any provide an analysis as to the error occurring?

Using Chrome, updated to latest version 66. The issue was present prior to the update. Many have complained of the same issue. The pic clearly denotes a Chrome logo (bottom).

That is irrelevant, for I said the issues existed before or "prior" to the update, "no offense". As stated earlier, any can find that over 3000 users are experiencing the same issues over "many" devices.
