One of the many, many ways in which you display your naivete, blithe ignorance, and outright stupidity in these forums.

just saying.

Fixed that for you. The amount of FUD and nonsense he runs around spouting is ridiculous.
.

Fuck off. If you have nothing good to say then don't say it at all. Unlike most people who are sheep and just follow whatever way things are without thinking more of it I see the big picture and realize that some things in this world are just outright ridiculous and simply point it out. Just because I don't agree with something does not make me stupid or ignorant or whatever other names you want to call me.

Thankfully there are other people who think the same way and this is why open source exists.

So why don't you write, record, and produce your own music? Oh right, you can't.

LOL, OP reminds me of those you "sample" stuff from the '60's and '70's then bitch like hell when they get sued. fuck off the lot of you "hip-hop" assholes, all of them are to stupid/lazy/untalented enough to write their own groove.

YouTube is such a grabasstic website it blows the mind. I see countless videos of copyrighted music and I know they don't have the rights to play it. Some of which has been on YouTube for years. And what's so funny is YouTube wants you to to use them as their music player.

I had a video of my Flight simulator with a Pink Floyd song and they removed it years latter. Same with a another FS video I uploaded years ago. Then I had a years old Penn and Teller video and they gave me a strike and forced me to take a copyright test to continue using my account. I absolutely hate the YouTube layout now that Ghole took over and my Channel looks like shit!

I think YouTube allows the content owner to decide if the infringing video stays up. For music, they probably leave it up and just take over the ad revenue. That's what happened with my video demo of using the Guitar Hero 3 Wii guitar on the PC version of GH3.

That's one of the biggest issues, they are so retardedly inconsistent about it. If they're going to be nazies about it, then be nazies to everyone. But it all boils down to money. The channels that get lot of views are probably less likely to have videos removed since it means more ad revenue for Youtube too.

And yeah the layout seems to suck more and more since Google took it over. I really miss what it was before. The only good thing Google ever did was make HD videos possible and remove the 10 minute limit.

How is the political philosophy of not believing in IP naive, ignorant, and dumb?

fucking commies is why.

But seriously--if the content was so easy for you to make and use however you want it, then go fucking make it. Stop justifying theft via nonsensical pablum.

IP law isn't perfect, patent law certainly isn't perfect--but that in no may negates its necessity. You don't burn the house down if you just need to fix a door.

Stop being obtuse.

Sure guys sure.

Fact is they have to use IP just to keep it free and crony capitalists from patenting or copyrighting the work themselves. Are you guys somehow magically unaware that the huge pharmaceutical companies are wanting to get patents and copyrights on all the traditional Chinese and Hindu medicine even when all that stuff was found out millennia ago? Seems like you guys have some ignorance to me.

"Do as I say, not as I do" is the name of the game. Haven't you noticed?

Of course Corps can do whatever the hell they want.....and you can't.

A couple of years ago I posted a video on YouTube demonstrating a few minutes of video playback of The Dark Knight Blu-ray on an Atom machine, showing that it played cleanly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmgxSxb6prM

A little while later, I got a notice from Warner Bros indicating that they were aware of the video... and that's it. They didn't actually ask me or YouTube to take it down. It's stayed online ever since.

I guess they are reasonable, probably because it was only a few minutes of the movie, and in the video I posted I clearly showed I owned the Blu-ray disc.

No one has claimed that IP is perfect. No one.

Open source is not an argument against IP BECAUSE THE CREATOR CHOOSES TO MAKE IT OPEN SOURCE.

Have you created anything in your life worth value? Bueller? Bueller?
