/checks shorts/ SURELY MISTAKEN!!! I happen to have a very hygenic nature. But I guess having a bottle of KY jelly in the car can real save time and make it less painful than a dry rub.

Tap the brakes repeatedly to continue to create pressure in the hydraulic system, down shift, apply parking brake, repeatedly engage and disengage the clutch.

I'd hit the handbrake, and because I wouldn't think that well in the situation, probably just throw my car into a skid. My old caddilac wouldn't roll though but it would skid a long ways.
