Here we are guys--the day before x-mas! Tomorrow many of us will be tearing through wrapping paper and pastic to open new video games.

Aaaah, it's the best isnt it?!

So in this thread we discuss what we know (and expect to be) playing during our x-mas vacation time. I'm still playing some catch up too as I suspect some of you will be as well.

I'll start:

Trials HD: Finally picked this game up last week and I totally get why everyone is talking about it. Hell, my wife is even playing it and loved the challanges it provides.

L4D2: I have played the hell out of this game (mainly vs) since the day it came out and just love it, but yesterday I had my first foraye into the Scavange mode and it made my wonder when this game will stop being awesome.

Risen: This game got lost in the shuffle, especially when Dragon Age came out, but I was really enjoying the game and want to head back to it since I've put in over 8 hours into it. Love the old WRPG feel of it.

Kings Bounty: Armored Princess: Loved the first one, can't wait to play the sequel.

Zeno Clash: Taken as a suggestion from Chris (Remo, Gamasutra) I picked this game up from a Steam sale and, man, who the hell knew this weird little 1st person fighting game would be fun. Seriously, it doesnt make sense on paper but it totally works.

Dawn of Discovery: Picked it up and tend to dig into it ASAP.

The Sabatour: I know is under the tree for me because I gave it to my wife to put it there. :)

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories: Same as above.

Man I have a lot of games to play
& man does that make me HAPPY!

I've been watching Torchwood on netflix streaming instead of finishing Dragon Age (PC).

Tekken 6 (PS3) -- need to learn some moves beyond wildly mashing the buttons

Besides that I need to finish these:
Lost Odyssey (360)
Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)
Titan Quest (PC)
The Witcher (PC)
Ratchet & Clank Going Commando (PS2)

... and start these
Crackdown (360)
Persona 3 FES (PS2)

I bought too much stuff on steam. Heh.

Anyway, my plans are to finish Uncharted 2, Battlefield Bad Company, and COD WaW SP.

The 2 big games I asked for, MW2 and AC2, have both been rented and beaten on SP. Still looking forward to some awesome multiplayer and plan on 100% completion of AC2. After the demo and reviews I might use some money on Bayonetta as well, but I don't know.

Out of town right now, when I get back I've got:

Assassin's Creed 2 (gotta get through it so I can start)
Batman: Arkham Asylum (which I'll play and then go back to)
Call of Duty: MW2 (which I'll play alot with a little)
Forza Motorsport 3 (when I finally get back to my Wednesday night routine).

At some point I need to pick up Tekken 6 as well...mayhaps I'll trade off AC2 for it when I'm done with the game.

Vacation away from the consoles and PC means time to clear the DS backlog. I believe I'm one side quest away from finishing off Chrono Trigger, but I keep getting distracted by Mario and Luigi: Inside Bowser's Story. I probably shouldn't be, but I'm amazed at how continually awesome and improving the entries in this series are.

When I get home, shiny new copies of Dragon Age: Origins and Metroid Prime Trilogy await. And some expiring gift certificates almost certainly mean Assassin's Creed II is being added to the pile.

The last 2 I just got but Rise of the Argonauts has been in the pile of shame for 6 months.
