Any idea yet, if they're still doing "standard" and "professional" versions? Having a USB TV recorder, I thought it really stunk that you could only get Windows Media Player on Win8 Pro...

Thanks for this info.

I currently have Windows 7 SP1, and I have always only used DVDs to install Windows. This may be a daft question, but if I choose to get the ISO, am I supposed to burn that to a CD/DVD and then boot with it? Or maybe extract it to a USB stick and boot with that?

You should be able to do either, just like you can with the current 7,8,8.1 isos. with either the MS tools or with 3rd party tools like Rufus, or manually

It's not yet known but my guess is that if they're going to hold back any features from the standard version, they'll be available through the Windows app store rather than as a "pro" version.
