your truck are belong to u

Duh. This has been going on for years. There was one vehicle that took top of the line vehicles from Mercedes, Lexus, and ??? and smashed them together. I mean, carbon clones of the front clip from one, passenger cage from another, and rear end from the last.

And, if you notice, the truck isn't a carbon copy of the F150.

The front end and grill are definitely from the F150, but the contours of the passenger cabin are all Dodge. The rake of the A-Pillar and shape of the C-Pillar reek of Dodge. The tailgate, with the raised top and center section, is from a Nissan. The plastic structure is from a Chevrolet Avalanche.

They take parts from existing vehicles and smash them together.

Overall, it looks more like a Dodge truck with a Ford grill, Ford lights, and a Nissan tailgate.

The chinese have a ton of these knockoff vehicles, but the thing is, like most of the chinese knockoffs, the only thing that they have ripped off is the superficial appearance of the vehicle.

All of them are laughably poorly designed, and grossly underpowered compared to their counterparts.

it's probably much smaller than a real F150. most of the world drives what we used to refer to as compact trucks.

Lol, Jetta TDI engine in a full size pickup.

The Chinese blantantly rip off proper cars all the time. BMW actually sued them over an X5 clone, but the Chinese government said they looked nothing alike *rolls eyes*

Well, since most people just use them to drive to and from their white collar jobs I doubt anyone would miss the power that much. It's all about the shiny metal box.

What's really amazing is that Ford sued Ferrari last year for using the moniker F150 for their Formula One car but this will probably go unchallenged.

Yup, I saw a top gear episode where they essentially "test drove" several of China's best knockoffs .... they were a horrible disappointment for the team to drive ... however, I do think they were right in concluding that the rest of the world would probably be driving Chinese cars in about 10 years or so .... I mean ... look at chinese cars from the 90s vs chinese cars now ...

I would rather walk than ride in a Chinese car. I've seen the crash test videos, and um, no. I think I'd be safer being hit by a Chinese made car, than actually riding in one.

Hm, reminds me of the crappy Chinese ipod knockoffs on ebay - the outside looks kinda similar but the item as a whole is beyond junk.
