Incubus - A Crow Left of the Murder

I don't know of any more that came out in 2004.
Typical of any new Incubus fan. Have you even HEARD S.C.I.E.N.C.E.?

I wouldn't consider myself a "new" Incubus fan... I've listened to them for four years. And yes, I've heard S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

What's your point?

The point is that there are a lot of people out there that no matter what any group does, thir early stuff is gold and their later stuff is sell-out crap. This condition runs rampant among the self-professed musical elitists. Just ignore them.

I think the new Incubus CD was one of their best, and also one of the best of the year. I'll also add Prince's Musicology to the list.

Sadly this is too true. Personally though I didn't enjoy ACLOTM as much as their previous albums. SCIENCE and Morning View are much better albums in my book. But that's just me.

same here. they love it also. they also keep playing the blind date skits because it cracks them up every single time. in fact, they call me now and ask if i want to 'get a drink with ice in it... and they arent talking about frozen water...ya k'now!?'

My top album for 2004 was The Grey Album from Jay-Z and DJ Danger Mouse. Yall gotta check that you. The Black album was great on its own but this version was spectacular.

Yes, the Grey Album accomplished what I thought to be impossible - it made it so I could actually listen to Jay-Z. It definitely won't be taking a spot in my top ten though, I just can't really get into Jay-Z's delivery or voice.

I disliked the last two albums enough that I removed all their songs from my library. I realized they weren't that great after all.

Why buy albums anymore? Why not just by the songs you like on mp3? It is much cheaper, especially if you go to allofmp3.com, and you only get the songs you want.

In no particular order

Elliot Smith - From a Basement on a Hill
Muse - Absolution (not their best but a solid album)
The Libertines - The Libertines
Modest Mouse - Good News for People who Love Bad News (The old stuff is better though)
Wilco - A Ghost is Born
The Killers - Hot Fuss
Garden State Soundtrack

Thats all I can think of, a lot of the ones I though of at first were from 2003.

Maybe I'm just old school, but I like listening to an entire coherent album, where all the songs fit and complement each other.

I don't really follow new music much, as so much of it is horrible that it gets depressing (god, did someone actually say they liked the new green day & chevelle stuff? :vomit; ). Oakenfold's Creamfields is incredible though, especially the first CD.

Edit: Oh, and the Pharcyde's Humboldt Beginnings was a good one as well.
