So tempted to take the plunge now, but I'm wondering if I should wait another month. But then again I dont know if a month would make a big difference. Do you think the price on this system will drop significantly in 6 weeks time?I need to purchase a new system before I leave the country in April.

This system is currently in my wish list at newegg:

ATI OEM RADEON 9800PRO 128M (Qty=1,=214.00)
DVD+/-RW NEC|ND-2500A/BLK w/o SW (Qty=1,Price=104.00)
CPU P4/3.0CGHz 800M 478P/512K HT RT (Qty=1,Price=224.00)
DDRAM 2 X 512MB|64X64 PC-3200B 16T CRUCIAL (Qty=2,Price=168.00)
BAREBONE PC SHUTTLE MODEL SB61G2R RTL 2oth anniversary edition (Qty=1,Price=369.99)
Total $1079

Already Purchased:
160 GB Western Digital HD for ($69.99 after rebates)
Logitech Wireless Keyboard- MX 700 mouse (79.99 after rebates)

Monitor and speakers will be purchased at a later date

Not a bad system at all.

As far as the price changing the P4 Northwood chips are coming down at the moment but will probably start to dry up in the next few months.

Also as is traditionally the case prices will fluctuate slightly anyway.

The radeon might drop a bit but not much unless there is a sudden release of the R4xx chips.

But my advise the anyone buying hardware is set a date and a budget and get the best you can afford on that day, otherwise you can go on for months without ever getting anything.

Fine choice my friend. You will be happy with the speed.

But one thing i would do would be to make that a gig of ram, your comp would be alot smoother then.

I know, but it did not say 2x512 at the time i posted my message.
I edited the description to show that I'll order 2 sticks of 512 after he had already posted.

By the Way...how's the Price on this system? Wish the memory could have been a little cheaper. So I'm almost ready to order. Thanks all for your comments.
