I read in someones post a while back that they will be revising the A+ test and updating it. Does anyone know when this change will take place? And what kind of things will be added? I heard that Win2k was possibly going on the test, will some of the DOS section be removed? Im not real familiar with a lot of the DOS portion and was wondering if I should wait on the update as I am more comforable with newer systems. What do you think?

Not very.
Just know the software part well.
The hardware stuff usually isn't to hard....for hardware guru's ;)

personally, i don't think the A+ exam counts for much if anything, but again, that's my own opinion.

I just thought that it would be a good idea to take it, certifications never hurt. Just something I can add to my resume in the future

yup... it doesn't hurt, i'll agree with you on that... but at the cost of those damn a+ exams, i just don't feel it's worth it. btw, you take it once, you're certified for that for the rest of your life (no expiration).

Would the certifications read any differently if I took the exam before the change? Will it have a different name or anything of that sort distinguishing which A+ exam I have taken?
