There have been numerous threads where people are complaining or discussing Newegg's decision to use UPS. (Some of you aren't too pleased with Newegg deciding to use UPS.)

What is currently your biggest complaint about Newegg?
 
Pffft, I was never a fanbois like half the screwballs around here, and I certainly don't give a damn how they get crap delivered. I DO have a bone to pick with their stacking of shipping costs.

I've ordered as much or more from their competition over the years. They rarely have the lowest price on anything. Never really did understand what the fuss was about. 😕
 
I have moved to ZipZoomFly from New Egg.

Why did i do this?

New Egg uses UPS
ZipZoomFly uses Fed Ex

New Egg charges extra for 3 day UPS shipping on most items
ZipZoomFly gives you free Fed Ex 2 day on most items

ZipZoomFly ships orders out as fast as New Egg.
ZipZoomFly charges slightly less than New Egg on most items.

I was actually hoping to hear if people had other complaints against Newegg.

 
Newegg isn't as competitive on prices as they used to be. Which is fine because I will just buy elsewhere.

I don't know why their shipping method makes a difference to so many guys. Fed-Ex routinely mangles my deliveries from Newegg anyway so them using UPS instead is actually a positive.
 
What's the big deal with FedEx vs. UPS??

Newegg uses both FedEx AND UPS...just pick what you want....why are you people so upset when all they did was ADD a choice for you??

They didn't "switch" to UPS...they added the service.

I get tons of shipments at work...some UPS some FedEx...there really is no difference between the two.

Eh? ZZF has always taken like 2-3 days before they ship things out for me. Monarch ftw. No tax for the cali people too.
 
Newegg rocks! I'm on the otherside of the country and never had a problem getting things on time! I usually get things a day earlier than anticipated. Nothing wrong with ups.

They have a warehouse in New Jersey, not exactly the other side of the country.

Also, they order a lot of stuff from D&H Distributing which has a huge warehouse in Harrisburg, PA - they may just be setup to dropship out of there with all the newegg logos and such ready because D&H will do dropship stuff and put a custom invoice in etc. They did it for me at work and we are not even close to the size of newegg.
 
I have no basis for comparison since I haven't used Newegg or ordered anything at all online in quite some time. Though my case came broken from Newegg. I do like newegg's site though.
 
I have had no issues with newegg at all. I always shop around for items but if the price is the same I go with newegg as I trust them more than other sites. newegg probably gets 50% of my computer part ordering with the rest split between ZZF, monarch, coolerguys, and buy.com

Over the past year it seemed like NewEgg was slow at getting stuff shipped out.
But, I am in the process of ordering parts for a new computer, >90% are coming from Newegg, and stuff is getting shipped very fast.
3 years ago I build my computer from parts from NewEgg and had no problems either. In fact they swapped out a pottentially bad memory module and motherboard, basically no questions asked. Great service.

 
I don't really buy anything from Newegg anymore. The tax and shipping with UPS is the biggest reason why. Monarch doesn't have tax in CA and uses Fedex, so Monarch gets most of my business that used to belong to Newegg.
