Okay, I think I finally have it nailed down. Now I'm concerned with any compatability issues or problems people have had with individual components. Here it is ...

Already have some optical drives.
I'm not a hardcore gamer, mostly use the www and sim/tycoon games.
My current rig is ancient (read athlon 500mhz, 192mb ram, etc) so I expect anything I get will seem great.

Sounds like a good overall rig. I haven't had much luck with Leadtek products in the past, but hopefully it will work for you better. I know MSI makes a 6600GT as well and that would pair great with your motherboard.

I have that Leadtek, and it works great. It has a very good heatsink/fan on it.

Looks pretty good, I'm not a fan of MSI though and I'd rec. this DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard - OEM and possibly some 1 GB DDR (2 pcs 512) PC-3200 (400) OCZ Value VX (OCZ4001024WV3DC-K) this should be more future proof and you'll be able to overclock if you like + it only costs about $20 more. Otherwise everything looks great for your purposes 🙂

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't plan on OC'ing at all. It seems a shame to get the ocz modstream and not even have a case window. Oh well, it sits under my desk anyway.
