hi there....i have winXP
i have an antivirus installed in my system which is doing good .., but
from the past two days, the windows securtiy allert displays a message..
YOUR SYSTEM AT RISK.... ANTIVIRUS NOT INSTALLED..

why does this happen. Is my antivirus not working or is it the problem with the system...
I tried re-installing the antivirus but for no use..

Please help..

Maybe it simply doesn't recognize it?
It didn't recognize AVG 6 either, when I upgraded to AVG 7 it didn't complain.

Of course, about the first thing I do is turn of that annoying security center, so in the long run, it wouldn't matter anyway :)

No it did recognize earlier..
I have been using from the past 3-4 months...
This problem araised 2 days back...humm

Check the box that says "I have an antivirus program that I'll monitor myself". The antivirus section will change to a yellow "Not Monitored" status, and your alerts should go away. Make sure you keep your antivirus up-to-date!

I agree, Security Center is very useful for making your system is up to snuff on it's updates. I like to leave it enabled.
