I like that. Stick family stickers on your car are dumb as fuck. Ducati stickers are where it's at.

I've got one on my A4. :)

My way of telling people that have gigantic stick families on their car what I think. I also need a way to mock people with "baby on board"...

stickers of any kind on cars are pretty tacky. I giggle sometimes at them, but most people over-do them. Very rarely you find a car with just one sticker.

People try too hard to get people to judge them without even meeting them, which is completely the opposite of my personality. That's probably why I also don't have any tattoo's.

Like I'm behind you in a traffic jam, why should I know you have a family of 4, a dog, what church you go to, and what organizations you assocaite with? Why not throw your social security number on there too ;)

Seen that before...but not classy enough for my car :p

My car has a single sticker :D

George Carlin has some ideas for baby on board

I'll watch that in a bit, but I think I may have seen Carlin rant about 'baby on board' before. Worth rewatching though, I'm sure.

I had a sticker like this a few years ago, and I may get one again.

Otherwise I don't bother with stickers, my opinions don't fit on them and nobody on the road cares anyway.

My opinions would get me assaulted in the liberal neighborhoods I drive through. Ironic, isn't it?

"baby on board" isn't to let everyone around you know you have a baby in the car, it's for the rescue squads that come to your aid if you were ever to get into an accident.

I know what it's for. It's still *(^#ing moronic. I know a number of firefighters. The very idea that they wouldn't be thorough in clearing a car of all occupants - at risk to themselves - is one that is unthinkable. They are some of the most cool headed, thorough people I can think of.

Worse, is that if you're going to put that sign on your car, it should ONLY be displayed when a kid is ACTUALLY in the car. I mean, if a rescue worker cleared the car of occupants, saw the sign and doubled back to the car to try to find the kid (because they didn't see one before) that puts them in MORE risk...warrantless risk if there is no kid in the car.

That just doesn't seem valid.

If it is a sticker that would mean that car is only ever driven with a baby in it, unlikely but possible. Not a sticker means people actually take it off which I'd find surprising given the number of baby on board placards I see in work parking lots.

Beyond that it assumes that the trained rescue workers upon finding a vehicle with a car seat in it would otherwise not look for a baby/child.

Even the origin of the sign wasn't about guiding rescue workers:
http://www.snopes.com/horrors/parental/babysign.asp

I know it may be the reason people do it now but it is a bogus reason. I tried to find an example of a baby actually being saved because of the sign but couldn't. Even the original reason is pretty dumb, as if bad drivers are going to suddenly straighten up because there is a baby in their vicinity.
