Because it's a very, very small step from there to go to a model where law enforcement gives you infractions and insurance companies raise rates automatically based on that data even without an accident. Imagine the box records you going 3 mph over the speed limit at some point and you get a ticket coupled with a raised insurance rate, all without human intervention.

its a small step, but it crosses a big line, the Constitution. So it isn't going to happen.

I know you don't have a "right to drive" specifically granted in the constitution. The reality is though that in most non-major-metro-cities, without the ability to drive you have no chance of pursuing happiness or anything else. Just because the constitution doesn't spell it out doesn't mean you shouldn't have that right.....

If you suck at driving, you do not have the right to drive and be a shitty driver. Sucks if you can't have your happiness, America isn't in the business of giving you the right to be happy.

I predict Do-It-Yourself guides for the disabling/removal/modification of these black boxes will become common.

What the fuck? Most cars have black boxes in them? When did this come to be? I never heard any review mentioning it, so I have to assume it's either very common or very rare, or just not known about.

Weird. Though until a few months ago, I had a 1993 for the past 8 years. My 2008 probably has it.

It's not mandated or really standard though? Like cars after 1994 or whatever it was had OBD2, cars after 2008 have tire pressure monitoring, etc.

I only heard of them of them on things like sport rental cars.

your an idiot-- Driving is a privilege, not a right.

Thank you for being a complete moron, ignoring the post, and locking in on one semantical point. No wonder so many people have you on ignore.

At least Fenix pointed where he disagrees with me and where I'm actually wrong. You don't even have the mentality for that.

If you're going to yank one word out of a topic title and call someone an idiot for it, why exactly are you surprised when people point out that your spelling and grammar approaches a third grade level?

I think the ignore point is a good one. See ya.

and you are going to be a stoopid fool and pretent that driving is a right......
You started out with a totally idiotic and factually wrong thread title and based on your thread title you expect people to take your idiotic thread serious...lolololol

so YES I am going to yank one word out of your misleading thread title.
This is the internet dude....so grow up.
This is not a doctoral thesis...which I have already completed.
So no I am not going to fret over whether I spelled a word correctly or used proper punctuation.

No I am not suprised when people attack my grammar. It`s always easier to attack somebodys grammer when you have nothing to say to prove them wrong.
In my case I speak more than 6 languages fluently and English is not even my primary language.

Judging by your thread title I should have known I was dealing with an adolescent who thinks that driving is really a right.....hahahahaaaaa
