Your remedy for being hung over

I usually drink 2-3 nites a week.... but once in a while when I drink a lot, I get real hung over.... as in I feel hung over till the next nite. Halloween is coming up on Thursday and I will be real drunk, I wanna be prepared for class the next day.

Btw, I drink liquor... 110, 151, or everclear. Any advice from the really experienced drinkers?

If I am about to passout I usually much on a piece of bread... give myself a few minutes then take down 3 glasses of water then collapse into bed. It works okay sometimes, but not that great in general. I never took any medicine in the morning, I heard it was hell on your liver so I never bothered, anyone have any advice on that? Some of my frineds claim that if you just have a beer right when you wake up that will make you feel fine too, does anyone else do that?

as much water as you can drink before you pass out.. bottle of gatorade and a vitamin b in the morning + more water.

Also, I know it's hard to do... but try to drink water inbetween liquor.. have a few drinks.. then have a glass of water.. I know you want to save more room for the liquor, but it keeps you from dehydrating
 
Hangovers are your body's way of telling that you did something that you shouldn't.

I'm not criticizing drinking, I drink beer every day, I'm just saying that your body is going to punish you if you punish it.
 
drink like 8 glasses of water. force yourself too.

my doctor friend swears and advil taken that night will make him hangover free. personally, 8 glasses of water has done it for me. never had anything more than a lil hangover.
 
I pop an Advil before I hit the sack.

I just got blitzed. Is ONE Advil gonna make my liver THAT much worse? 😉

my advice is dont drink everclear, youre gonna die

and don't smoke🙂cool:.) When I drink alot and smoke, I wake up really extremely groggy

I don't really get hangovers unless it's off of sweet liquor
although I'm not a big drinker anyway
 
Wanna know what works really well?

This summer I was lifeguarding, and while I was sitting around doing nothing (as lifeguards do on the beach in Madison WI) , a fellow lifeguard called up from another beach complaining of a terrible, gawd-awful hangover. So, I called a buddy who drank to find a remedy (im a non-drinker myself)

His suggestion: GREASY FOOD

So, i went out and got the guy a ton of greasy food, like, Culver's greasy. Family order of fries greasy.

He said it did the trick, and he raves about it. All of my friends who follow my wise sober words agree.

Good luck, and chug that everclear for our sober-entertainment. Boom shakalaka.

i've personally never done the vitamin b thing, but everything else to a T... works quite well for me. if i've drank a ton, not to the point of passing out or puking, but that point where you know your going to be hurting the next morning, i'll hit up some taco bell, or some sort of not way greasy fast food.. or go home and make a sandwich, seems to help quite a bit.

i'd imagine that there'd be some sort of adverse affect when THC and alcohol are combined.. but maybe that's just me?
actualy, drinking alot and smoking isn't fun, it always makes me sick
 
load up on vitamins and water 6-8 hrs BEFORE drinking, have a protein based meal (i.e steak, chicken) and some more vitamins 2-3 hrs before drinking

Never fails...but if I don't follow this procedure, I am immobilized for at least a day after a hard night out

YMMV...I'm a beer drinker
 
if your already hungover...take tylenol or advil...drink a full glass of water, maybe 2...then go back to sleep....
sometimes i'll wake up in the middle of the nite after heavy drinking...i'll drink a glass of water before going back to sleep
 
Switch to the harder stuff and only the harder stuff. People will respect you more for it. 😉

1. Have a big meal before commencing drinking.
2. Drink a couple of glasses of water before you go to bed.
3. Do not go over your limit. If you do not know where your limit is, you should not be drinking.

Sleep is the number one cure for a hangover. If you sleep through it, you don't have to suffer as much. As everyone says though, drink lots of water. Dehydration causes most discomfort from drinking too much. Being dehydrated will cause your stomach to go crazy by the time you wake up too...

If you've ever heard of Krystal or White Castle, those things will cure a hangover fast if you eat about 5 of them at 4am. Krystal is headquartered here in Chattanooga so we have one every 5 sqare miles. 😀

Last but not least, a shot of vodka in the morning will kickstart your system again and help pull you out of the hangover....it's just not the best way to sober up if that's your aim.
 
There's another drinking thread around here somewhere.

Check into buying a bottle of Vitamin B-12. It's good for preventing damage to your brain and nervous system, and should alleviate the pain of a hangover.
Take one right when you start drinking, and another right before you go to bed/pass out. Don't puke it up.

You should feel money the next morning.
 
Water, water, water, water. Chug tons of it before going to bed. Yup, you'll wake up in the middle of the night to pee but you'll have a head-start on rehydration.
