On a scale from 1 to 5....

Grr...this meant to be a poll, but oh well. :)

I'd give it a 3.5 .... I like everything except for some obvious quirks and bugs, and that stupid delay between surfing pages.

I gotta check it out, but if it still buggars pages up like nutscrape always has then I give it a 0!

so far it failed to install inself on my work box ( red Hat 6.2 ), my home box ( Mandrake 7.2 ), my laptop ( RH 7.0 ), so judging from the installation procedures i'll five it a -1;

I'd give it a 3, -1 because of the long program load time and -1 because of some incompatibility of sites. However with a fast page load time I like it. However Mozilla M18 is almost exactly the same but with a faster program load time (much faster) it gets a 4 and my browser of choice.

2.5.

I'd still rather use Opera instead of these hulking behemoth browsers that M$ and AOL put out (oops, did I say AOL, I meant Netscape :). I like the new interface, but the sheer memory footprint and lag detract severly from my surfing.

I haven't tried mozilla yet, need to give that a try sometime soon.

Note: $30 or so is the only thing that seperates me from using Opera, I've used it in BeOS and found it to be quite nice. IE3.02 is the latest IE I use because of the added "features" that the later versions tend to bring to the UI. 90% of the time I can tell if a computer has IE5 on it w/o even running an app.

I like the way it looks, but it crashes much more than IE and takes a long time to load. Some of the things that I now take for granted in IE are missing in NS6, such as autocomplete and the ability to use the scroll wheel.
