What sort of design features would you put into a new house if you were designing your own home to accomadate your geekness?

For example, when I build a house I'd like to use PVC pipe or something like it to run network lines, RG6, and phone cords through. That way when something better inevitably comes along it won't be such a hassle to rewire the house.

Gotta have a server closet too . . . anybody else have any ideas?

Huge home theater with projection screen and killer sound. Speakers installed throughout the house so you can listen to music in any room. Full access to control all the lights via touchscreen like SuperFreaky said, but with the ability to control it over a secured internet connection. I'm sure the list could go on and on, just depends on the budget.

While that is nice, I can live with 802.11g for the time being, but a small library/study is a must.

I have G in my house now, but it doesn't seem to pentrate walls very well. That may very well be the age of the house though, I have lathe & plaster walls.

How about one of those embedded chips so I don't have to carry any keys and to keep my music play list follow me.

Wireless access in every room, and wired access in most rooms.

Speakers in most/every room so I can listen to music throughout the house.

Room with couches and big ass home theater system.

Fleshlights in every room.

I want my house to talk to me :D!

"Hello, Sir William, how was your day today?" "Oh not too shabby my dea... I mean computer. How about a little boob tube to unwind?" *Sounds of porn come on the speakers* "No, computer, I didn't mean literally! You're so dirty, I better run a spyware check on you later ;)"

1. Super Green, heat exchanger and the whole 9 yards, with the server farm, I wouldn't need a furnace. I would need outside air to cool it though.
2. Solar+Wind+Thermal on site
3. Water tight server room.
4. Gigabit wiring everywhere, wireless sucks.
5. Remote control of home automation system with strong key encryption of comm.
6. Home Theatre with 2K projector (3k would be pushing it)
7. Wife that lets me do all this.
