My opinion would be Netgear, but thats not on your short list. In that case I would have to pick Linksys.

I had the Netgear RT314 and it was great.
Didn't really need it (just wanted to play with a new toy for a while).

Office Boy's links are great stuff.

That site is one of the better ones out there for networking.

Oh if for some reason you decide on the linksys, LMK, I got one that I used for like 2 days...
Now I'm using the Netgear...
It's the one port model.

Also take a look at the SMC router, since it includes a print server port, which is a nice feature. I cannot remember if it supports PPPoE though (think it does).

I went from the Linksys to the SMC. Both work well, but the print server is a great addition since I have two systems.

I have heard far too many people (friends) complaining about linksys and data corruption.
Go Netgear.. its a breeze to work with. I just setup my friend with an RT311 last night.

;) If you seriously want to buy this off me, send me a private message. I don't need it anymore (no longer have a network in need of it).

I have the Linksys and think is works ok. Sometimes it seems to have a problem with my Epson Axis 1440 print server.
Would the Netgear be better? And why? I always liked what Netgear products in the past.

Thnaks in advance.
confused;

I have been using the D-Link DI-701 for a month or so and it seems to do the job quite nicely.

Paulson, you don't know what you?re talking about. You have probably never even seen a Linksys product other than a NIC. :p

Try to make at least an educated opinion, don't just guess and pass it off as knowledge.

I have a few linksys 10/100 NIC cards and a 10/100 FD switch that seem to work fine... have to wait and see, havent tested it much, but so far so good... dont know how much that helps you though :)
