Can you explain your company? Also, work on that 3rd eye. Looks good otherwise.

I can't read the logo for sh!t. Ergo, I'd recommend using a better Font, and the Yin/Yang Spires are a wee bit too squished.

Otherwise, it seems pretty cool.

If it is supposed to be read, then why would you make it hard to read?

Guy seriously, hire somebody to make it for you. If this is going to be a logo for an actual company and you expect to get business, you are going to need something that is much more professional looking than that. And you NEVER want a font that is difficult to read, especially for a logo for a company. This is supposed to attract business, not have people scratching their heads saying wtf does it say. The point of a logo is to have something easily recognizable to make people think of your company, you want the most accessible font you can muster (while making it look nice, which also sticks out in peoples minds). If you are serious about this company though, don't skimp out and try to do it yourself unless you are sure you can pull off a professional design. Otherwise, bite the bullet and hire a graphic designer. That's what they are there for.

Rough draft or not, you distinctly stated that you intended the font to be hard/impossible to read. That's just idiotic, not paradoxical.

I was a graphic design major, so I do know a lil about it. It's a rough draft, cool. Loose the anime-ness in the eyes and find yourself a real pic of a monkey for inspiration. I dunno, you can definitely make it work but it has a long ways to go. And lose the font, it doesn't work and I don't see how you could make it work.

But it's more fun that way - plus my major is BIG on proper word usage - actually, normal people should be "BIG" on proper use of words, but with the majority of Americans what they are today, maybe that's asking too much of their puny brains and their fat lazy asses.

(I'm also American, by the way.)

I agree with all the comments on the font.

if a website is hard to read, I'm not going to sit there trying to make out the words, I'm going to go back to google and find another company.

That?s a stupid logo. Didn?t you go to school for this!! God, there are so many different things going on in there. Nothing points to the name. The lettering is horrible, The black/Red is just a bad color mix, the eye in the middle of his forehead doesn?t belong, it says nothing about your company, and it looks like a 4th grader drew it!

Okay, now for constructive criticism :):

1) Make the whole design more compact.

2) Lose the 3rd eye, or make it consistent with the other two. All 3 eyes need work though, like I said above LOSE the anime-ness in the eyes. You can make a much more sophisticated design if you research monkeys and base the design off of what you learn from that. Anime eyes are never good, ever imo. Design wise you can always do better than falling into the cliche that is anime.

3) Speaking of cliches, do you really need the yin-yangs? I like the idea of using a monkey, but the whole 3rd eye and the yin-yang seems to be extremely cliche and you can come up with a better concept imo. Just sit around with a pencil and some music and keep fvcking around until you get something.

4) Does the star add anything? And if so, does the fact that it is upside down add anything? I think it could possibly work if done right, but you need to address the other issues as well. Just randomly coming up with ideas, I think you could make a silhouette of a monkey, make the eyes white with no detail, and a red star on his chest. Probably not the answer, but just trying to come up with ideas. Turn the star right side up though, lose the gradient as it doesn't really add anything imo, and make it smaller.

5) I don't like the 3rd eye, but even if you want to keep it I really don't like the glow coming out of it. The eye does not need to be sideways in the first place, but even so the glow needs to go. I'm a poet and didn't know it. :p

6) The font issue has already been addressed. It doesn't work, period.
