After reading the review, they like the LG GSA-4040B DVD Drive

How about the Pioneer 104, 105, or 106 drives?

Also what do you folks think is the best software to use to burm Backup copies of DVD Movies and PS2 games? (Kids throw them all over 🙂

I own an LG-GSA4040B and I love it.

I don't know about being the best, but the easiest way to backup DVDs that I've used is DVD Shrink to rip and then CloneDVD to burn (with CloneDVD, three or four mouse clicks and you're done).

For PS2 games, maybe Alcohol 120%?

I just pulled my A05(-R) out of my system(region-free and rips up to about 6x or so 🙂) ..drive serves me well for almost a yr now..currently running an NEC 1300A ..got from AVLogic for $116($113 w/out their software bundle) ..4 days now....burned 6 +R(Verbatim DataLife=CMC) no problems with the results..2 -R (TDK=TDKG02) 1 -R(Memorex..unknown was a rush burn ) ..all play fine..as always ymmv
