I had a chance to use it all day on sunday. It is extremely quick loading and responsive (to my surprise) I plan to give it to my father for websurfing, e-mailing and movie watching. I also plan to take it to lecture and take notes and word process on it.

should i go for it? i can easily upgrade memory to it etc.

Yes. They are nice, and that is a great price, esp with the dvd drive and floppy.

If you plan on using XP, upgrade the ram when you get it. I had one and it was so slow with 256 and xp, I put a gig in but you could just throw another 256 in and be fine.
