Francona is starting to show his crappy managerial skills. WTF is Burks batting third for?

Also, Bobby M. Jones last game? :|

I expect better then a 2-3 start.

I don't understand his handling of the Pedro incident. Saying it was his fault for not telling him it was against the rules to leave before the game is over?

Lame.

He better start winning when Nomar and TRRRROOOOT returns.

I guess Red Sox are trying the crappy manager formula to winning championship like Torre with Yankees.

the road to .500
its make or break for Paydro today..
.AAArroyo didnt help things yesterday, and a bottom of the order featuring Reese and Smellhorn doesnt inspire confidence.

Francona has made some questionable calls (like using the damn shift every game, WTF?), but he's also been handling a tough situation dealing with Nomar and Trot's absence (and the Embedded Yankee's not wanting to pitch, which threw poor Bobby Jones under the bus... the guy is a lefty specialist and had to pitch 2 innings while Menblowza sat out there twiddling his thumbs). I am undecided as of yet.

As for the slow start, I am hardly concerned. The MFY's are having a slow start too (Mussina's 0-2 with an 11.00 ERA! HAHA!) and I doubt DETROIT is going to stay over .500 for the season (they are 4-1 right now). This time of year is chock full of anomaly goodness. Gotta hang out for the long haul. We'll see.
