How can any religious person keep church and state separate?

The separation of church and state does not mean religious people, even religious leaders, cannot be in government. It only means congress can make no law establishing religion, or prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

Belief and policy are two different things.

Democrat pollsters, fear he will fragment the party, and take 5-6 states in the primaries. The democrats really dont want him running.

Super! I registered as a Democrat to vote for Jesse Jackson in the primaries in 1988. I'd love to do the same for old Al! :D

I think he is very racist. I don't mind having Colin Powell as a president but not a racist idiot like Sharpton

Racist, possibly not the right word. Bigot would probably fit better but I don't play double standards if something is considered racist for a white person to say or do, then the same apples to any black person that says or does the same as far as I'm concerned. O and this rule applies to any race for those who might like to know.

His bigotry aside, I wouldn't vote for him anyway because I don't agree with his leftist politics. Of course the same applies to most any democrat so hopefully that makes me an equal opportunity dissenter in this regard.

Al Shaprton is a loud mouthed carnival side show clown act. For an idea of his credibility, remember how he ranted on behalf of Tawana Brawley, who falsely claimed she was raped by a gang of white men. Sharpton opened his mouth as a high-profile "advisor" to Brawley's family and accused a local prosecutor, Steven Pagones, of taking part in the rape. A grand jury later dismissed her story as a hoax.

The only thing he's really good at is serving as a bad example. :disgust:
