I am gonna get the abit nf7-s rev 2.0
if that board don't hold 200fsb outta the box then i'm just gonna get a kt600 board
cause this is dissapointing so far

btw the system in my sig is my system before the upgrades
it outperformed this system in 3dmark 2k3
and that's with 768mb pc-133 and a 105fsb and a t-bred

I wouldn't give up on the nf2 boards that easily. Just look at all the responses so far. There are tons of people getting high fsb's. Just out of curiosity what don't you like about Epox? They are very well known for their OCing abilities. Great boards.

i dunno i guess i just never liked their board layout and the cheap look they have
but yeah they aren't bad boards obviousely

i might get a abit nf2 board next if that one don't hit 200 out of the box then i will go the kt600 route

the thing that really anoys me is the fact that most these motherboard makers list on their website that the boards support 400mhz fsb
yet the boxes and the manuals list only 333

and you can never trust the stickers they put on the boxes
have to look at the board revision, but even doing that with my asus i still don't think it was an nf2 ultra 400

Just got my Barton 2500 (refurb no less) yesterday and it's running 3dmark stable at 200x11 @ 1.75 vcore.

raise the t(ras) mem timing value to 11. It is a quirk of Nforce2 boards that the ram actually runs better at 200 with a high T(ras) value. I had trouble getting my soltek SL-75FRN2 to run over 190 until i did this. It actually improved the memory bandwidth scores also.

You are the first one i have seen that had much worse performance setting the T(ras) to 11 when running 200+ FSB. please fill me in on the details and how you tested it. I would have to say from the postings i have seen here and elsewhere that it is an improvement for most.

There was a thread about this, but I can't find it right now. In any case, my performance dropped, in particular UT2003 started pausing and dropping frames. In that thread, if you can find it, there were several other folks who had the same problems with 11.

Really thats interesting i will have to investigate that. Don't Play UT2003 so I haven't experienced that. I have noticed an occasional pause in Battlefield though.
