Wanted to get AT opinion. Getting bored of my TF700, I am leaning towards Samsung, seems like that have a better performance than ASUS and I like the IR! BUT I really want to try Windows, I believe their app store is matured enough to give it a shot. So what will be yours?

😀 sorry for the "Abdroid" in the poll, cant edit polls, so please ignore...

Never heard of Abrdoid... 😛 I just got an iPad Air - it's good. I have a Nexus 7 2013, and technically a Surface Pro 2 (if you can call it a tablet - too damn heavy/big). Not feeling the Android ecosystem for tablet enhanced apps.

Only thing I wish was aspect ratio on iPad needs to be 16:10/16:9. 4:3 is absolute garbage. I'm not looking to produce content or do anything productive on a tablet without a physical keyboard. That's what the SP2/laptop/desktop are for.

Windows is a joke for tablet. It's sad when they have to put full fledged Windows on the tablets. Windows RT's app store is quite pathetic.

Just took a quick peek into what is CM11, had never heard of it before... sounds interesting, what would I not give to have a mobile device without bloatware... Will check to see if it would work on my TF700, maybe it will keep it interesting for another few months

Note: Hope I didn't just derail my own thread

Abdroid sounds like a fitness accessory. Anyway, my next tablet will probably be a windows tablet. It will have to be as fast as a surface pro 2, but not cost two arms and half a leg.

iPad here. You can find some nice Android tablet hardware, and I've liked the Surface Pro 3 for what it does, but the iPad combines both some really nice design (it's incredibly light) with a stronger tablet-native ecosystem than either of its rivals. A tablet is only as good as the apps you can run on it... and heck, the iPad has a 'real' version of Office, if you really need it.

Surface Pro 3 looks good to me - would replace tablet and laptop.

Surface Pro 3 woul dbe great if i didn't have a work ultrabook that I use for all laptop purposes. My answer is Galaxy tab 8.4.

My next tablet will be a Surface Pro 3 on June 20th. Hope it arrives that day, my order status says the keyboard is delayed.

Besides the SP3, I will probably get a Nexus 8 or whatever if Google announces another Nexus tablet next month.

Probably an ipad.

Depends on the state of AMOLED tablets. There have been rumors for years that AMOLED tablets were on the way. They seem to be stronger now.

Ideally there would be AMOLED ipads and windows tablets.

SP3, so somewhat ironically, Windows. (Used to be my last choice in the mobile space). MS may have finally gotten it right by not trying so damned hard to be Apple and just making a great tool for professional use.

Why does Abdroid (heh!) need to split Samsung vs. others?

Samsung, based on its price point and features and ease of use is in a class of its won, there are several other "entry level" android based tablets out there that don't really compare to Galaxy

I think I might hold off on the next tablet purchase. It's been 3 years and the tablet push by Google is pathetic. If anything, Samsung has done more, but I wouldn't say the Android choice is that great right now.

Surface Pro isn't going to cut it for me either because its shooting to be a laptop but doesn't do everything a laptop does nor is it as easy to use. I might stick with a Macbook Pro + Android tablet in the end though. Something like a Nexus 8 would be nice.

I feel like I still can't justify my $499 purchase of a Nexus 10 only to watch movies.

I have zero interest in new tablet right now. Nexus 7 and HP Touchpad are plenty. My interest has shifted to ChromeOS. I find it far more interesting than Android/iOS/Windows.

I like my current Samsung Abdroid. Will wait for 20nm/ARMv8/AMOLED to consider anything else. Ideally it will be 11+" and the same weight as this Note.

Probably whatever the Kindle Fire HDX 2 will end up being called, I may get. I'm a big Prime user, and the lack of Google Play store doesn't really bother me as I mainly use a tablet for reading, light video duty, and casual web browsing or Facebook games etc.

Using the yoga 2 pro as a tablet replacement right now; don't see myself ever returning to a more limited OS. It'd feel like a straight jacket.

Probably the next retina Mini for me. The Surface Pro is very intriguing, but I'm not spending money on it.

Probably a Pro 4 or 5. I figure by that point, my laptop will be older and tablet technology will be on par. My current tablet is used less than 1 hour a month.

Most likely a Nexus 8/10 if either uses TK1/Exynos. Otherwise I will get a Nvidia Shield Tablet/Xiaomi Mi Pad as I really don't want to run into app comparability issues with Intel & I still dislike Qualcomm.

If a 64 bit Android ARM tablet of 8" (1080p min res) or bigger arrives this year then that would get my attention over any other though.
