2019 GTI, Alkemyst special edition.

Very very rusty with the manual. Need to get back up to speed. One problem is that when I drove manual years back, I had terrible habits that I didn't know that I had--basically keeping the clutch all the way down when slowing down, stopping, short stop lights, turning around tight corners, etc. I rarely would ride it, but I'm 100% guilty of keeping my foot to the floor on it far beyond reasonable. ...so, I kinda have to relearn how to stop properly and take corners.

I also didn't know that rev matching was a thing at the time. So, another thing to learn.

The Mazda 3 is currently sitting behind that in the driveway. Hope to sell it within a month.

I kind of want an A7 but it's simply redundant to my LS 460, minus the AWD.

I really should get an SUV so I can haul simple things but I have no idea what to look at. Maybe X5?

I do like the Audi Allroad but I've heard they're maintenance nightmares.

I'm looking around various cars available in the 15-20k range.

I can get one of a number of cars

  1. high mile R32 GTR (problem: may be clapped out)
  2. R32 GTST (rb20 bleh, strongest of the rbs but in stock form is slow/most of the perks of a skyline but no oomph)
  3. R33 GT25 (not as cool as the 32 but rb25)
  4. Pulsar GTI-R (tranny is glass but SR20)
  5. 300zx TT (working on engine is eh...)
  6. Cefiro (s chassis but stock with rb, good potential)
  7. JZX90 (nuff said)
  8. Don't buy a car, put that money that you've been saving for 3 years to good use, like part of a down payment on a house or some other /r/personalfinance shit
Don't have that money now but I'm on track in 2.5 years.

Buying any car like that should be done as a hobby...ie you've got your finances together.

Overnight parts from Japan just isn't logical for one's main vehicle.

I drive a shitbox 2015 Mazda 3 and I'm hoping to pick up a used Focus RS in 2-3 years.

2004 Ford Ranger FX4 Lvel II, 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0, 2004 Nissan Fontier 3.6. Would love to buy a new pick up or Jeep but you can't get a small pick up anymore and the jeeps have grown in size also.

1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo (for sale)
2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (this might be a keeper, and/or a C8)
2005 Lexus GX470 (may become an LX570 eventually)
I never would have guessed you have a z06. I remember you mentioning a Cadillac but might be someone else.

Have a corolla and next will be corolla. So easy and no hassle owning one. If I am not ocd on things I would get something else like a mbenz

Yup, will be buying with cash and be used as a second vehicle.

Daily will be used till it blows up. I'm saving a lot of money for different things (house, car, marriage // 10%/40%/40%) since latter are more immediate compared to house. With the rate that I'm saving, I'm doing pretty well (I'm also contributing to my retirement)

I had a 2004 CTS-V from Dec 2011 until...I want to say May-ish 2013 or 2014.
