Your most memorable console gaming boss fights?

What are some of the gaming boss fights that you'll always remember because they're just sooo freakin' awesome?

Crocomire (Norfair mini-boss) - Super Metroid
De Rol Le (cave boss on the water raft) - PSO
4 final bosses, including Kefka - FFIII (FF6)

The "possessed" Akuma in SF2:Alpha with the double air fire-balls, more speed and more damage.

The Black Tyranno in Chrono Trigger. Took me well over forty-five minutes to beat him.

I forget what the name of the boss is in FF4. He was harder than heck.

I had lots of trouble with Gannon in SNES Zelda and the one for N64 too. Very, very long battles.

I know you're talking about consoles here but I'm going to cheat and put two boss fights from PC games in here.

The original (DOS Version) Blood Game where you fight the three-headed dog, the fight itself is lame but when you beat him and they show that movie where Cabal (i think was his name) cuts the dog's gut open stuffs in some remote dynamite and blowing the sh!t out of it and the blood spray and chunks hitting cabal and he says, "Rest In Pieces."

And the other would probably be the Red tornado boss in Serious Sam: The Second Encounter with that awesome fighting music and and all of the bad guys you're blowing the hell out of and the other tornadoes are picking you up and throwing you in the air.

Yeah my most memorable would be Emerald Weapon in FF7 DAM THAT WAS HARD. Didn't get the water materia so I had 20min time limit

You needed Knights of The Round to get 10'000 x 12 or was it 10 hits? That was in one go so you'd get 100'000 or 120'000 can't remember. Then the dam yellow command materia that *copied* or did what was done before it. Can't remember it.

DAM I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed with myself for DELETING the saves that I had on the memory card! I SHOULD HAVE NEVER NEVER NEVER DONE THAT. Most have played over 300hrs+ on that game. Recorded 148hrs ish in the end. Killing the end bos Seithoroth (dam can't spell his name) was easy compared to Emerald. A bit of a let down killing him was easy compared to Emerald in the end. MOST ENGAGING game I have ever played. Not played any other game that was so indictive and emotive. GT3 is GREAT but has no story as its a racing game.

I'm not much into console gaming, but my favorite PC boss fight has got to be the superhulk at the end of level 7 in Descent 1. I still clearly remember my method for beating it:

1. Take out the red hulks with the vulcan and homing missiles
2. Take out the heavy drillers with the same approach
3. Switch to lasers and mega missiles, then sneak up behind the superhulk and start blasting away
4. When he turns around and starts shooting smart missiles at you, head for the center column. Try to avoid the bots he spawns
5. The moment he starts spinning around, make a run for the exit. you don't want to be around when he explodes

I never did manage to beat the one on level 27...

i think i put the KOTR in with the "copy" meteria and had it firing off in retaliation.

so every time my all party got hit i hit him with 6 KOTR

then my go i would cast 3 KOTR and he would die

it took me like 2 months to master all those KOTR's :Q
