I've been using mach3 for...years, and love 'em. But I thought maybe an electric would be quicker. No waiting for the water to heat up, applying cream, rinsing and drying, etc.

So I went out and bought a Braun Flex XP. The shave was reasonably close, but it is just goddamn impossible to get a consistent shave on my neck! It ends up taking waayy longer to shave just because of that, so I'm giving it a few more days and going back to mach3 if the pace doesn't quicken.

What are you other folks doing/using, especially for the neck region?

neck does take a lil longer with a crap electric razor. get a Panasonic Linear wet / dry one. they rule
 
you're supposed to use it for about a month before it will work correctly...

Also, I use shaving lotion from totalshavingsolutions.com and it works wonderful.
 
In the shower, first with a facial preshave scrub. Mach III, using clear shaving gel (either king of shaves or gillette's own).
 
Because I still try to use a mirror as to trim the hair perfectly🙂D), I usually lather, shave with my Mach3 Turbo, then just shower. No extra rinsing, drying, etc. needed.
 
I've been using a Sensor XL for years. I bought a Mach 3 this afternoon. I'm going to give it a whirl tomorrow.

Will an electric razor give as close a shave? If so, I may just have to get one of these Mach 3's for someone I know.
 
I shave once a week, with a mach 3 razor (I don't have much hair), and I shave in all directions. Every once in a while I'll use shaving creme if I feel like it 😛 Hell, I've only owned/use one bottle of shaving cream, and it's the one that Gillette sent me for my 18th birthday, and I'm almost 19 😛
