god, mondays do suck
ok, i get to work at 6am, dont have my keys, have to rush home, get keys, go back to work....so im at work at almost half past gettin stuff going. im a drycleaner, so i gotta start up the boiler, get clothes cleaned, and then dried for when everyone else comes in after 7, so this is not a good thing
then, we were incredibly busy, far busier than usual and EVERYONE was at work til after 6pm today, which is when we close
on top of that, our dryer for the drycleaning broke, and its prolly a 2 ton machine, or a ton and a half anyway
and we had to take it apart, which meant undoing about 100 nuts and bolts, removing a 300+lb steel plate on the front, pulling out the basket that tumbles the clothes (which, took four people) welding something back together
putting the basket back in, and putting the front plate on, then replacing the nuts and bolts all over the damned thing
i got home just after 10:30
ugh, 16 hours today, and i still gotta be up around 5 tomorrow so i can be in at 6 again, this time with my keys...i think
longest day ive had was prolly over 18 hours, cleaning up after a flood, and a couple months ago we had to do the same thing to the dryer, only it was the first time we ever did it, so i got home after midnight, for 18 hours of work
anyway, whats the longest work day you guys have had? any of you, for whatever reason
ugh, its after 11pm and im not tired cause i had to take a shower, tomorrow is gonna suck like hell too
