Your life's posessions, all in a truck

How many times have you done the drive where everything you owned was packed in a car or truck, off to a new place?

I first did this when I was 18, about a 45 minute drive to Seattle. I did it again the opposite direction, leaving Seattle. Now I'm going to do it in a couple of days to Pullman.

Is there any more liberating feeling?

The most liberating feeling I ever had was running naked around college at 3AM blind drunk.

A couple times into Washington and a couple times out of Washington.

I did it a couple of times a few years ago, but now the wife and I are accumulating more $hit. 2 couches, 1 loveseat, 2 drafting tables, washer, dryer, 57" TV 2 more large desks just to name a few.
The last time we moved it took one trip with a 26' Uhaul (with room to spare but the 26' was the same price as the 24' so why not?)

Done it twice besides college, once from TN to AZ and then from AZ to VA. It was a pretty cool feeling.

Four times in 8.5 years...

1. Going to college my freshman year
2. Returning to college my sophomore year
3. Moving across town 8 months later
4. Moving across the river 4 years later

Another move is coming up soon....but I won't be selling my house.
