"Your Latest Posts" is hanging firefox this morning..

I wonder if it has anything to do with this as you are one of the listed. Your latest Posts hangs for me, too, but eventually loads. I'm also on the list. IE6.

But it's not as bad in IE7 as in Firefox. Firefox hangs with 98% CPU usage. IE7 does not do this and display the page after a ~1 second delay.

Well, it took 12 seconds for me to load "my forums'' and then 40 seconds more to load "Your latest posts".

 
me too so I am actually having to use IE7 for now. FF just hangs up and stops responding when going to "Your Latest Posts". there was a FF update and obviously that has caused some issues on anandtech forums. I swear with very update to FF something gets screwed up.
 
Me too. First noticed this last night about 1:30AM and thought my hard drive was developing bad sectors causing my FF install to be corrupted(because FF was crashing abruptly and prompting me to send an error report to MS), so I have been running diagnostics overnight and everything came up clean with no problems with my system, so then I checked here and now know it is just not me having problems. 🙁

The OP's avatar is missing too.
 
It works for me in FF3 Beta 2, but the reason it's hanging is because the default birthdate for new members is Jan 1st. As you can see, there are about 40k members who never changed theirs.

So this will correct itself first thing Jan 2nd.
 
The birthdays all display fine on my FF 2.0.0.11 and cause no problems on the main or my forums pages, but the your latest posts page crashes. So if it is the birthdays, then why does it cause the crashing only on one page and not the others?
 
I noticed this 12:15AM this morning as well. Your Latest Post hangs for 1 minute then is ok. I am not in that huge birthday list.

I didn't post this because I thought it was my computer 😱

If it clears up tomorrow with the change of the birthday list we'll know what was responsible, just not how.
