Given the Review made by Evan Lieb, the kt600 is just a little lacking in performance quality as the nforce2. Memory timings are a little more relaxed, the lack of a PCI/AGP lock in the bios (VIA's fault), no duel DDR memory channels, and a awkward layout that involves taking the video card out of the AGP slot to add more ram.
With all that stated, the performance differences that Evan Lieb stated would be un-noticed in real world usage.
So the question is, Would you buy the kt600 for its south bridge over the nforce 2? 8 USB 2.0 ports, and most of all the RAID 0, 1, & 0 + 1 arrays via two IDE connectors that is Hot Swap capable.
