As I am working my way to computer science (and hoping to continue in university as well... currently in college), and I already know a number of people who are either in computer science, in a very respectable university, or run their own business... i figured it'd be great to talk to them all, and see if we can get anything goign here. At this point I dont have a whole lot of programming knowledge, but I do have some experience in web design, and I'm coming to be not bad at all (starting to learn php/mysql this weekend). I have a friend who runs a business and also does web design/programming... I have two other friends that are getting into programming (both know more than I). We've decided that some of us will get together, and form kind of a subdivision of my friend's business, that designs software. Now what I want from YOU guys, seeing as you're all so creative 
P), is IDEAS. Of course I (and they) have ideas already, but we want to know what you guys would like to see. What kind of programs do you wish were available, or do you wish there were GOOD versions of? Personally I think there is no good instant messenger programs (I use MSN, ICQ and have used AIM and Yahoo as well.. none are good enough). One of my ideas is to design an IM client that has an interface similar to ICQ, but no advertisements or bloat, and has compatibility with ALL networks. Eventually I know it will be achieved.. but I need ideas for alternative projects to work on inbetween or in case something happens, or whatever. Little things... winamp plugins.. winamp replacements, I dont know. You name it ... just lay down all your ideas!
