I see someone still can't read his sig.

I've got a Gainward 6800GT, so i can't comment seeing as how they left the US market🙂
Nice card though - loud when the fans go full on, but mad cooling.

in the 6800 series ive had a bfg a pny and now an evga.

if i were recommending id go with bfg as a first choice. second would be the leadtek.

it seems like bfg and evga are prefer by more people. I bought the pny 6600gt at compusa for $72, but have not open it. should i return it and buy the evga 6600gt (about $45 more)?

I assume you mean $172? I would just keep it. PNY is a pretty good company. It isn't worth $45 to "upgrade" to a different brand.

Are you dense? If you purposely mess it up you're a moron and there's NO WAY IN HELL they would exchange it for you if they knew what you did.

what is the purpose of lifetime warranty if there is no problems with the card? how can the video card be broken? anyone ever use the lifetime warranty on the video card before and how did the company respond?

I've used the warranty on a BFG FX5900 and they took the card back without a problem at all. There are odd things that happen with video cards such as fans dying, or some other component failing after a while. I've seen stories of people returning a BFG Ti4200 and getting an FX5900 (or something close) back in return.
