Agree. Road to Perdition had an excellent score.

Almost anything by Hans Zimmer.
Gladiator, Lion King, True Romance, ...

Napoleon Dynamite
Fight Club

I'd say half my CD collection is made up of movie soundtracks. One of my favorites is the Hans Zimmer live concert CD : "The Wings of a Film"

John Williams stuff. Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Superman, ...

Clint Mansell's score for The Fountain. Kronos Quartet with Mogwai. Sublime.

Oh yes! I also own Clint Mansell's soundtrack to Requiem for a Dream.

The Fountain is one of my faves. I think it's available on Amazon Music for Prime members.

Just re-watched Moon last night and Clint's score was perfectly fitting. The gradual increasing intensity really made the movie great.

Ooo! The Last Samurai is on Amazon Music. Another great soundtrack!

If by "soundtrack" you mean scores, then Twister (1996) gets my vote. Also liked The Parent Trap (1998) and pretty much anything by Alan Sylvestri.

Fight Club - Dust Brothers did one for the movie.

Hackers - just a good selection of music. I dare say better than the movie itself (Cult classic notwithstanding).

gladiator probably has my favorite overall score. everything in it is simply awesome. there are some scenes in that movie that give me chills and feel emotional about every time i hear it, especially the music playing right after he kills commodus. and then the how it picks up right at the very end as well when the credits start rolling. just awesome.

that is flat out probably my favorite in any movie.

then while it's not a movie, i really like the opening music for The Pacific miniseries.

hans zimmer is the man. i would love to go see one of his concerts.

Some good ones already mentioned, ones that have not been yet which I love:

2001: A Space Odyssey which is really just a bunch of re-purposed classcial stuff, but used so effectively: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r94mPZAapQA&list=PLCXAth3jqAKtcujjtHpJnKkwgXXGy4ls7

28 Days Later by John Murphy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7YliLoZ9mA&index=5&list=PL118AD9ADA54875D6

Blade Runner is cool; pretty trippy and relaxing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV95Yu6gZSY&list=PL3ABE2FBA2900C03E

Tron Legacy (a movie I actually liked): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYJBcr1LDg4

Pulp Fiction, yea, I know it's just a collection of songs but Tarentino has a knack of picking out the best songs for his movies.
