Mine in order:

1. Michael Angelo Batio
2. Uli Jon Roth (played for the scorpions from 73-78. Awesome classical guitarist)
3. Yngwie Malmsteen (became popular because of the band Alcatrazz)
4. George Lynch (Dokken)
5. Brad Gillis (Night Ranger)
6. Neil Schon (Journey)

IMO, Batio is the best evar! 🙂

Mark King - Bass Guitarist from 80's-90's UK band Level 42.

Great bass player and eventually came out with a solo album - Influences.

Al DiMeola
Dave Gilmour
Carlos Santana
Phil Keaggy (Christian, but talent is talent regardless)
Adrian Belew
Not necessarily in that order.

Here are some of mine:

Gary Holt
Tony Iommi
Eddie Van Halen
Dimebag Darrell (RIP)
Zakk Wylde
Jeff Waters

I'll name some that haven't already been named:

Johnny Winter
Leslie West
Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Richie Blackmore
Ronnie Montrose

John Petrucci
Eric Johnson
Mark Knopfler
Stevie Ray Vaughan
James Hetfield (for rhythm)

Michael Angelo Batio is extraordinarily talented, but I simply cannot listen to his music. His tone is terrible and I can't find any emotion in his playing. He is astoundingly talented though.

Eric Clapton and Hendrix are the best imo

U remember the short guitar solo from Clapton's 'Behind the Mask' off his 'August' Cd. I love that song/guitar solo.

Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, solo work)
Eric Clapton
Dave Navarro (Jane's addiction, RHCP)
BB King
Satriani
Frank Zappa
Steve Vai
Brian May (queen)
Tom Sholz (Boston)
