Your Favorite Fantasy TV Series?

Seeing how this is a blooming genre, I thought it would be appropriate to discuss fantasy tv series in a combined thread.

Other than GOT, there was the Stars series Camelot which was OK but short lived. I liked the main character but the Merlin was suspect.

I am really looking forward to the Outlander series. I think Starz learned from the previous attempt and might do better this time. I like that it will be 16 episodes and that Ronald Moore is the person behind it. I have a lot of hope.

Please note though, this thread is NOT for spoiling the plots of fantasy TV series with information on the fantasy novels on which they are based.

So please no book spoilers about any fantasy TV series.

So what do you think? Anyone else excited about Outlander?

I don't know that there have been any excellent fantasy series that didn't have a heavy Sci-Fi element.

The Starz page for Outlanders highlights romance as a major theme and that's a meh factor for me... unless it's a really tragic star crossed one.

On the other hand it is produced by Ronald D. Moore who does have a good track record in Sci-fi/fantasy.

Just got a lot more interesting now that they tied events of Capt America 2 in with it. Also, Samuel L Jackson is appearing in the finale (May 13th).

I too like Agents of Shield. The first couple of episodes were so-so but it has hit a rhythm.

My guilty pleasure fantasy TV series is Grimm. That is the only show my wife and I watch every week without exception. The actor Silas Weir Mitchell got me interested, but over time I like the Walker: Texas Ranger-esc action as well.
