What's your favorite charity? I'm setting up a charitable trust and trying to decide who to make the central beneficiary. I'm thinking about San Diego Zoological Society. What are your favorite charities?

Christmas in April. They repair homes for the older, less well-off home owners. My youngest daughter runs the Oklahoma City office. About 60 houses per year.

I never even heard of Christmas in April. Sounds like Habitat for Humanity. WWF is a good one also.

I've donated mostly to America's Promise. Not much but enough to say I've done somthin. :)

Any charity is a good one.... Except the Rainbow Push Coalition

They are a national organization with about 265 offices in all 50 states in the USA. They are like "habitat for Humanities" except they only repair houses, not build them from scratch. Typically, they re-roof, repaint, Fix plumbing leaks, correct electrical hazards, put in guardrails, wheel chair ramps, fix doors and locks -- that sort of thing. One thing that is unique about their work is that, except for the re-roofing, all the work is completed in one day by 750 skilled volunteers and 4000 volunteers total. This year's "day" is 14 Apr. 2001 if you live in the OKC area and want to volunteer ;) CIA@juno.com

I like St Jude's Hospital.

Sick kids just break my heart... and if I understand correctly, kids who need treatment can get it there for free.
