MY GOD Is UT 2004 still played?
That was an AWESOME game. Or has it been hacked and put to death by cheaters.
I SUCK at FPS'ers. Old and slow I am, but I used to jump in that tank and pummel the opponents base and that single flying pod thingy. Grab it and fly around and slam the people by dropping from the sky. Ahhh Good days.

I play L4D now. And it it too twitchy. COD is an OK game for me as well. I just dont understand these young whippersnappers who come from behind a corner, jumping, and one shot me as I unload my clip all around them (according to the server anyway. In my eyes, I got him). All that while he is sipping a latte.

Anyway, let me know if UT 2004 is still viable. That may be a reload tonight.

not to derail the thread, but that was the reason I stopped playing. You can get in a good game for a few rounds then someone will come in and just cause grief. Last I played it was 6 months ago. Try to play it on weekends when there is more players.

...and now back to our scheduled programming

/close thread.

I was going to say the UT99 announcer until you reminded me of this guy. Lance Boyle is just peerless. :D He was only good in the first game though.

I hear the Quake 3 announcers voice in my head sometimes when certain events unfold before my eyes.

"HUMILIATION"

While the MK "Finish Him" and "Quad Damage" in Quake are both distinctive and memorable, UT99 is probably the most recognizable.

It's so epic that it's used in DOTA as well, which is still insanely popular today. "double kill!" "killing streak!" "Triple Kill" "DOMINATING" "MMMMONSTER KILL" "GODLIKE!!!"

"Quad Damage" is my personal fav tho. I do really the TF2 announcer as well though but it's just not as extravagant as the others.

The answer was already said: Rock N Roll Racing for SNES.

It also still has the best soundtrack.

Discovered years later that it was a Blizzard game, the world makes sense at times.

For a narrator I'd say:
Dungeon Keeper - The intros to the areas were great
Under a killing moon - James Earl Jones
